The Lamson Adventures!!!

Mt. Connor

Mt. Connor is located South west of Alice Springs and directly west of Ayers Rock. As you drive past Mt. Ebinezer, you see a huge rock that appears to be Ayers Rock. The tour guides let you sing the praises for a while and then they dump it on you. It is not even close.  :-)

It is Mt Connnor.  It is about the same size as Ayers Rock. It is a debate, depending on who you are speaking to which is bigger. But Ayers Rock is the biggest monolith. Connor is not a monolith. Two things, as you travel down this road, stop at the Mt Ebenezer stop. Everyone is so nice and it will not be open in the evenings. Have a scone...the best!!!!!!   Second, when you pull over at the Mt Connor road stop, and you will, everyone does, go across the road and climb the path.  Look over the little hill. It is the biggest salt pan I have ever seen.

I hope you like the photos. If you do, please remember to drop me a note. We do this all for visitors coming or have come and want to remember Australia.

Mt. connor was something. It is usually mistaken for Ayers Rock. In actual fact, it does not look much like it.
MTCON
Located across the street from MtCon stop spot. It is the biggest salt pan I have seen. It looked like a lake.
